Awake or asleep, we can be drained in thousands of ways – by relatives, friends, neighbours or clients who want to use us either consciously or, more often, unconsciously. We often feel unwell, tired or sad for no apparent reason. Are we sad because of something in ourselves or because the thoughts of others are affecting us?

Are we tired because we are overworked, or because someone or something has drained us? I know I belong only to myself. I am protected at all times and I myself decide which feelings I want to have, and to whom I give my energy and power – and whom I allow to get close to me.
